Adafruit, founded in 2005 by MIT engineer Limor Fried, is dedicated to providing top-notch resources for electronics enthusiasts of all skill levels. Over the past decade, it has grown into a company with 100+ employees and a 50,000+ sq ft. factory in NYC. Adafruit offers an array of tools, equipment, and electronics carefully curated and tested by Limor.
Adafruit manufactures many of its products in-house. Our NYC factory handles everything from PCB design to production using their pick and place machine, which has assembled over 3 million boards in three years.
Limor Fried and her team of Creative Engineers collaborate on community-driven products, such as the Adafruit Feather line and the creation of CircuitPython.
The Circuit Playground Express, our latest educational board, supports MakeCode, CircuitPython, and Arduino without requiring soldering.
Additionally, Crickit pairs seamlessly with Circuit Playground Express, enabling users to #MakeRobotFriend.
